Before George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery, the killing of Trayvon Martin dominated headlines and was the seminal event for Black Lives Matter. The story of Trayvon Martin and his killer George Zimmerman inspired media malpractice, public outrage, and the devolopment of race relations in the West. Today we shine a light into history and discuss elements of the story rarely covered, including a theory put forth in a recent documentary and book, The Trayvon Hoax.
